Since its conception, enhancing our communities and giving back has been one of the main focuses of the Miss California Latina organization. Through the organization we instill social awareness in all of our titleholders and encourage volunteerism. Each year we work with over a dozen charitable organizations in lending our time and efforts with a hands-on approach to bring awareness. Below are just a few of the organizations we have worked with.

The mission of the International Society of Black Latinos (ISBL) is to educate the local and broader communities of the existence of Afro-Latinos and the influence that the African Diaspora has had and continues to have on the Latin cultures around the world. The secondary goal is to reach youth, particularly, but not limited to, high risk populations in the inner cities, through workshops and seminars that reinforce the importance of building a stronger and unified community. ISBL emphasis is on academia, self-awareness, social acceptance (tolerance), character building, cultural and artistic enrichment and leadership development.

Miss California Latina is a proud supporter of this organization.

Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. They  build and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Their partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods.

Miss California Latina has proudly dedicated hours in helping build homes in San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles.

Corazon de Vida (CDV) Foundation is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization committed to end the cycle of  child homelessness by moving children from streets to safe housing, improving current orphanage  conditions and quality of life.  The Miss California Latina supports  Corazon de Vida with its volunteer services and donations. We have volunteered our time with the children as well as work to bring awareness to the organization.

Women Against Child Trafficking is dedicated to helping victims/survivors of human trafficking, child sex trafficking, youth in crisis, teens/young adults in crisis and abandoned youth.

Para Los Ninos is dedicated to IMPROVING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN by eliminating the achievement gap caused by poverty. With your support, we can help to resolve issues of hunger, homelessness, anxiety and despair, so that more children can succeed in school and in life. Children who overcome poverty can achieve their true potential.

Safe Passage is an emergency center that provides safety and support for battered women and children in Los Angeles. The organization is a division of “Women Crowned in Glory,” an outreach spearheaded by author, model, beauty consultant and spokeswoman, Trish Steele, to all women who are in need of encouragement, direction and resources to pursue their God given destiny.

Miss California Latina is proud to support this wonderful organization and its efforts for the advancement of women in need. As an official charity affiliate, Miss California Latina  assists in highlighting the needs of the organization partnered with our outreach efforts.

Venice Family Clinic’s mission is to provide quality primary health care to people in need.

Each year Miss and Teen California Latina partake  in Venice Family Clinic annual Holiday Movie Event. As the main fundraising event for Venice Family Clinic’s pediatric programs, Children’s Holiday Movie raises critical funds to support the Clinic’s comprehensive medical, dental, vision and mental health services for low-income and uninsured infants, children and teens throughout the year. 1,000 children from Venice Family Clinic, low-income schools and homeless shelters  attend a once-in-a-lifetime event and enjoy a free screening of a new holiday movie as well as music, presents, treats and pictures with Santa Claus and Miss and Teen California Latina.
